Like many, I am a hobby woodworker that enjoys the transformation of raw materials into unique masterpieces. When I decided to take my hobby to the next level by building a timber frame workshop I quickly came to the conclusion that I wanted to saw my own wood for the building. This would help me save money and more importantly allow me to use my knowledge of wood and apply it to a new skill in the woodworking arena. What's more, over the years I've witnessed countless perfectly good saw logs get buzzed up for firewood or even worse, left to lay and rot away in the woods or the side of the road and I'd like to do my part to put those logs to good use.
When I first decided to custom saw for others I felt a personal obligation to provide the best service possible for their dollar. After all they are putting their trust in me to maximize the value of their limited resources for that hard earned dollar. I continuously seek to expand my knowledge of the trade by reading online forums, professional publications, just making sawdust, and seeking critical feedback from customers. By trade I'm an engineer with a personality of "doing the job right" and paying attention to the details. I believe these traits help me provide a sawing experience to my customers that delivers significant value by saving them time and money not only at the time of sawing, but leading up to and on their future projects.
Sawing quickly became a passion for me that also allows me to meet great people and see what interesting ways they intend to transform logs in something much more. It's been a pleasure to be able to provide this service to so many all while extending the life of this versatile resource.
